Jett Travolta, the 16-year-old son of John Travolta and his actress wife Kelly Preston, died Friday after suffering a seizure at the family's vacation home in the Bahamas.
Jett, who had a history of seizures, was last seen going into the bathroom in the family's suite on the night of Jan. 1. Jeff Kathrein, a close family friend and hired nanny, found Jett unconscious in the bathroom around 10 a.m. the next day, according to a police report. It is believed that Jett had a seizure and hit his head when he fell.
It has been speculated that Jett Travolta suffered from autism, a claim that John Travolta has vehemently denied. John has asserted that his son suffered from Kawasaki Syndrome, which has been known to lead to heart disease.
An autopsy is scheduled to be performed in the Bahamas before Jett's remains are flown to Florida for burial.
